Taking care of your Sol + Sand jewellery is important to prolong its beauty, shine and longevity. However, over time, gold plated jewellery starts losing its shine when the surface of the piece comes in contact with air, water, sulfur, body oils, fragrances, makeup, moisture, sweat and other outside elements. This is a natural process not an error of your jewellery. By following a precautionary measures, you can avoid losing your jewellery’s shine:

Remove jewellery before washing hands, taking a shower or performing sports or any physical activity. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or environments that could damage your jewellery. Avoid contact with perfume, lotions and water.

We recommend keeping your jewellery out of direct sunlight and heat. Take it off before going to bed. When not in use, store your jewellery in a clean dry place.
